3rd & 4th grade Science

Description: 

Students will learn basic science concepts as we study topics such as: matter, solids, liquids, gases, electrons, mixtures, chemical reactions, laws of motion, friction, gravity, forces, types and forms of energy, electricity, circuits, and magnetism). During our weekly class time, students will participate in hands-on activities that review and solidify topics students have covered in their text reading and worksheets that will be completed at home. Every activity is taught with a biblical worldview, to help your child understand that God is the foundation of all things!  Come have fun with us and learn about God’s creation!

*NOTE: If you have a child in Science 1-2, they will be using the same textbook but their assignments will be grade specific. Each child will need their own notebooking journal.


Supply/Copy Fee:  $20.00 per student per year (check written to Mrs. Sisson and due at Orientation or at the first class)


Tuition Fee: $340.00 per year ($34 per month for 10 months, August-May or $38 if prorated or on a 9 month payment plan)

Karyn Sisson

B.A. in Business Administration 


Karyn graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Business Administration. She has worked in the business world as a manager, a buyer, and a bookkeeper. In addition, she has experience in proofreading and editing for a textbook publisher. Karyn and her husband have three children and homeschooled for over twenty years. Her daughter and sons are now homeschool graduates, and by God’s provision, all three received full academic scholarships to college. Karyn has tutored and taught co-op classes in a variety of subjects at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She loves teaching students at Bridge Academy!
