8th-12th Art with Drawing

Teacher: Jordan Kincaid 

Description: High school art will focus on the fundamentals, as we learn about the Elements of Art (shape, color, 

texture, etc.) and Principles of Design (emphasis, balance, proportion, etc.). Your child will develop  skills and 

understanding in both  2D and 3D projects and use various medias such as acrylics, watercolors, pencils, and oil 

pastels.  We will also examine the works of various notable artists in history and see how they incorporated the 

elements and principles of design.  While working on reproductions, recreations, and new creations students will 

learn to analyze their work and the work of others.

Copy/Supply fee: $45.00 (check written to Jordan Kincaid due at Orientation or at the first class)

Tuition fee: $390 ($39.00/month for 10 months - August-May or $44/month if prorated or on a 9 month payment plan)

Jordan Kincaid 
B.A. Communication Arts

Jordan graduated from VCU in 2016 with a B.A. in Communication Arts. She is currently a freelance Illustrator and is contracted with Owl Crate Worldwide and McGraw-Hill and has most recently joined the Bridge Academy family.  Bridge Academy students will be very pleased with the most up-to-date and fresh ideas she plans to present in her classes: Drawing, Graphic Design, and Digital Design. She and her mother, Allison Kincaid (also teaches Art at Bridge Academy), will be co-leaders of the Yearbook Club.
