Apologetics 1I:
Defending Christianity Against World Religions and Secular Ideologies

Description:

This course provides solid biblical answers for the student facing today’s secular society. The student will be educated in three areas of study:

(1) Tough objections to Christianity utilizing Lee Strobel’s The Case for Faith. Examples of the covered topics are: Since evil and suffering exist, a loving God cannot; It’s offensive to claim Jesus is the only way to God; A loving God would never torture people in hell.

(2) World Religions utilizing Paul Carden’s Christian Cults and Religions. This study explains the history, background, and beliefs of the largest world religions and cult groups, including Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and more.

(3) Lifeviews utilizing Dr. R. C. Sproul’s Lifeviews: Understanding the Ideas that Shape Society Today. Study includes major philosophies that affect the way Americans think and act today, such as: secularism, existentialism, humanism, pragmatism, positivism, pluralism and relativism, and hedonism.
