Discovering Art (K-2nd)
This early elementary art class, geared for K - 2nd graders, provides students with the opportunity to discover and grow through art. Each project will feature a different art-making medium, technique, artwork and/or artist that will inspire students to create. Techniques and media covered in this class will include drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture and modeling clay. Students will have the opportunity to continue to grow and expand their scissor skills, hand-eye coordination, fine motor dexterity, creative thinking & collaboration skills and so much more. Students will be guided through creating a piece of art based on our inspiration, however, students are encouraged to discover and explore resulting in artwork that is uniquely individual and creative.
