Cell Phone Photography
Description: Let's learn to create better photos with your cell phone. We'll start this class by covering the basics of good photography (subject, light and composition) while we practice taking photos each week. As the year progresses we will dive into different genres of photography as we set up photo shoots in the classroom to learn creative techniques including: perfecting the selfie & portraits, fantastic food photos, precious pets, photographing pets and people, creative toy photography and more. Students will learn to edit photos in the camera and will use several free apps throughout the year for additional editing practice and experiences. Students are expected to bring a charged cell phone with a camera to class each week, practice photography skills at home each week, complete weekly assignments and upload them to a free, private Padlet classroom board. Students should also be able to add apps to their phone as needed.
