Course Description:

Through this online course, your student will get a glimpse of what it is like to work in an animation studio! In this super fun course, students will create full illustrations, character designs, storyboards, and animatics with the use of ink and markers. We will also learn how to simplify characters, create dynamic compositions, and use color to help depict the mood of an overall piece. They also will learn the history of animation and how it has influenced popular culture. This course is suitable for high school students of varying skill levels. Digital supplies such as Photoshop and Illustrator are optional as digital techniques will be taught based on student interest.

Jordan Kincaid 

B.A. Communication Arts

Jordan graduated from VCU in 2016 with a B.A. in Communication Arts. She is currently a freelance Illustrator and is contracted with Owl Crate Worldwide and McGraw-Hill and has most recently joined the Bridge Academy family.  Bridge Academy students will be very pleased with the most up-to-date and fresh ideas she plans to present in her classes: Drawing, Graphic Design, and Digital Design. She and her mother, Allison Kincaid (also teaches Art at Bridge Academy), will be co-leaders of the Yearbook Club. Jordan is so excited to a part of the Bridge Academy family!
