Brain Mastery & Study Skills

Struggling with time management and organization? How about problem solving and critical thinking? What about emotional regulation? How well can you self-evaluate and think critically? In this class designed for high schoolers, come learn about the brain, its functions and how it works, and executive functioning skills (those things listed at the beginning and more). Determine where you have strengths and which areas need some focus. We will learn how to improve areas that need support through fun and engaging games and activities that you will actually WANT to do!

REQUIREMENTS

Required texts:
Intelligent but Scattered: Executive Functioning Skills for Teens by Lauren Douglas
Executive Functioning Skills Workbook for Teens by Tara Wilson
6 Super Skills for Executive Functioning by Lara Honos-Webb

Copy/supply fee: $40.00 (given directly to Tory Rogers due at Orientation or at the first class attended)

Tuition: $400.00 ($40/month for 10 months, August- May, or $45/month if prorated or on a 9-month payment plan)

Tory Rogers

Tory Rogers is a Recreational Therapist who has worked in the healthcare field for almost 20 years. She works with students of all different ages and abilities. As God provided room in her personal and professional life, she has also enjoyed homeschooling for the past 4 years. This background gives her confidence in teaching and conducting classes at Bridge Academy. This is her second year teaching at Bridge! When not working, she enjoys time with her family on their farm.
