
Elementary Drama
This is a performance class that focuses on building confidence and helping students become comfortable on the stage. Students will learn all basic theater terminology. They will develop stage presence and the ability to project their voice. Students will be expected to memorize lines for performance according to their ability. This class will require attendance at two performances: One in November and one in April (Dates and Times TBA) Students will learn how they can use their talent for drama and performing arts to glorify Christ. Supply fees will be used to purchase performance materials, and assist with props, sets, and costumes. However, parents mayb e asked to provide basic costume pieces for their child. If extra rehearsals are required plenty of notice will be given.
REQUIREMENTS
Text: None (in lieu of a book, the supply fee will cover the cost of weekly readers that will be used in class and sent home with each student)
Copy/Supply Fee: $10 (given to Mercy Granell at Orientation or the first class)
Annual tuition: $330.00 ($33/month for 10 months, August May, or $38/month if prorated or on a 9-month payment plan)
ABOUT THE TEACHER

Stephanie Diocedo
Stephanie lives in CHesterfield with her husband Anthony, their three children: Linda (13), Daniel (9), and Hazel (6)... and a bunch of chickens. This will be their seventh year homeschooling, which she loves. Before staying home, Stephanie taught fifth grade for many years at a local Christian school. She has a passion for performing arts. In addition to directing plays and musicals in both community theaters and churches, she taught elementary and preschool performing arts. Stephanie and her family attend Parkway Baptist Church where she loves teaching children how to use their gifts to glorify Jesus. She loves all things Colonial and chicken related. She is so excited to join the Bridge family!
