Exploratory
In Exploratory, students will learn fascinating facts as we focus on a new theme each month. Every lesson includes a hands-on activity, craft, and/or read-aloud to make learning interactive and fun. In addition, some months will include a Show and Tell tied to the month’s focus. Monthly themes, centered around Social Studies and Science concepts, are available upon request.

Required Text: None
Copy/Supply fee: $25 (check written directly to coordinating instructor, Amy Price or Nicole Copenhaver, due at Orientation or the first class attended)
Annual tuition: $360.00 ($360/month for 10 months, August-May, or $40/month if prorated)

Amy Price, Nicole Copenhaver
Amy Price
B.A. Elementary Education
Amy is a Longwood University graduate with a degree in Elementary Education. She has taught grades K–8 in public and private schools across Georgia, West Virginia, and Virginia. In her sixteenth year of teaching, God placed a desire to homeschool on her heart—a calling He continues to affirm. Amy makes learning engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable, believing it is an ongoing journey she is honored to share with her students. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, reading, and making memories with her family.
Nicole Copenhaver
B.A. in Elementary Education
Nicole holds a BA degree in Elementary Education from St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, NY. She is certified in Special Education General Curriculum K-12 and Elementary Education PreK-6. After beginning her teaching career in New York, Nicole moved to Virginia to continue pursuing her passion for education. With over a decade of experience teaching in public schools, she is now excited to transition to homeschool education to better support her own children and connect with a Christ-centered community. Nicole is passionate about nurturing the whole child, building strong relationships, and fostering a love of learning through exploration and engagement. As a mother of six children, ranging in age from 5 to 16, she is dedicated to helping all students find success and fulfillment in their educational journey. Nicole is thrilled to join Bridge Academy, where she can align her faith and values with her teaching approach, creating an inspiring classroom environment that encourages curiosity and growth.
