Description: From contemporary to the fantastic, drama to poetry, comedy to songs, stories fill our world and grow in our hearts. Many of us love to read but don’t know how to express our own stories, real or imagined, although every one of us has the capability inside. This course will explore the world of creative writing, reading and creating widely, experimenting with the wonder of words.

Ashley Wilda

B.A. in English / MFA in Creative Writing

Ashley Wilda is a writer, teacher, and artist living in Richmond, VA. Having attended the University of Richmond and the Vermont College of Fine Arts, she holds a BA in English and an MFA in creative writing for children and young adults. She currently teaches writing at John Tyler Community College and is represented by Liz Nealon for her poetry and fiction. A former homeschooled child, she understands the unique needs and blessings of Richmond’s alternative schooling community.
