Creative Writing (6th-8th)

In this class, we will learn about how to spark creativity and get those thoughts down on paper. We will focus on things like setting, point of view, voice, characters, and plot. As we work through these items, we will make sure we continue to focus on grammar and parts of speech in order to grow as writers. We will complete some mini-units on types of creative writing. These will be chosen by the students to include items such as poetry, graphic novels, music, and scripts. In addition, we will work on peer editing. (2026-2027)
