Description: Students in 1st - 2nd grades will discover fun and fascinating facts about our wonderful world! This will be a hands on class full of creativity, imagination and wonder. Each lesson will involve a hands on experiment, activity or craft. In addition to having fun and doing experiments we will also have a Show and Tell once a month. This will give the students opportunities to share with their peers something of importance to them.

Annual tuition: $330.00 ($33/month for 10 months, August- May or $37/month if prorated or on a 9 month payment plan)

Melissa Futrell

AD in Nursing -RN (Pediatrics, NICU)

Melissa Futrell was born and raised in South Carolina. She holds an associate degree
in nursing from Gardner-Webb University, where she met her husband, Derek, who is
the Senior Pastor at Parkway Baptist Church. They have lived in Virginia since 2002.
Melissa and Derek have five children (17, 16, 14, 11, and 10 year old) whom they have
homeschooled since 2009. Melissa and her family have been a part of Classical
Conversations communities for many years, where she has previously tutored
Foundations, and currently tutors Essentials. Melissa is not currently working as a
Registered Nurse but enjoys homeschooling, baking cakes for her kids, and serving in
ministry alongside her husband Derek, and is excited to become a part of Bridge
