Math 4 

Description:  Class time will be used for instruction, preliminary practice, and assessments. To be successful, students will need to do daily work at home. Some of class time will include math games, activities, and work on application of skills in groups. Assignments for daily work at home will be assigned. 

Category Description for Saxon Math 5/4 (3rd Ed.): For use by fourth graders who have completed Math 3 or who are doing well in math, or for average fifth graders. Covers review of 4 basic math functions, estimating, 2- and 3 digit computation, decimals, fractions, rudimentary geometry, word problems. 3rd edition.

A readiness test for this class is available if needed and may be requested by Bridge Academy administration or class instructor.

  • Saxon Math 5/4 tests/worksheets book (3rd ed) 

Copy fee: $20.00 (check written to Jackie Fowler due at Orientation or at the first class)

Annual tuition: $460.00 ($46.00/month for 10 months, August- May, or $52/month if prorated or on a 9 month payment plan)

B.A. in Radio, TV and Motion Pictures


Jackie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in English and Radio, TV and Motion Pictures. After graduation, she worked as a writer for the 5:00 and 10:00 newscast at WRAL - TV in Raleigh, NC. She decided to leave her job at the TV station to pursue her desire to teach and became certified in English Education. She has taught middle and high school English =, honors English, Political Economic and Legal Systems, music and drama while in the classroom. She holds a Master's degree in Library Science and was school librarian before leaving to homeschool her first child. Her Husband is a military chaplain and they have fie children. She loves spending time with her family and is thankful the Lord used the army to bring her to the area.
