Physics

Investigate the world of physics with units such as classical Newtonian mechanics, the concepts of thermodynamics and matter, electricity and magnetism, the physics of light and optics, exploring our solar system, and the worlds of relativity, quantum mechanics, and nuclear physics. This course will hold students' attention with real-world problems, and it is an opportunity to become more powerful thinkers and analyze abstract and complex situations. In addition, students will always have the option to send questions via email. The basics and fundamentals learned throughout this class will help prepare you for college.
*This course requires critical and creative reasoning as well as a foundation in algebraic math.

Caitlin Henard

B.A. in Education

Caitlin graduated from Richard Bland College and Longwood University with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies of Elementary Education. Mrs.Henard has a LOVE for math and science and always preferred taking classes that tied them together in college such as chemistry and physics. She often finds herself looking for connections to God's perfect design in our world. Even though her college professors encouraged her to major in math and science, her desire to begin her teaching career sooner helped her decide to stick with her original choice: teaching. Caitlin has taught elementary and middle school across several subjects in the public school setting. She currently lives in Colonial Heights with her husband and her son. Together they attend Destination Church and serve in the youth program. She is excited to take her love of teaching to new levels at Bridge Academy.
