Bridge Academy

Tammy has a Bachelor’s degree in English and has worked with preschoolers, elementary school children, and special needs children and adults. She cherishes all those sweet memories, and she absolutely loved working with them! Tammy is a Jesus-loving homeschool mom to two beautiful girls. Providing them with a faith-based education in a loving environment has been one of the greatest joys of her life. She serves at her church in worship on the Praise Team, has led women’s Bible Study groups, and previously served as the Lead Coordinator for a Mothers of Preschoolers group in 2013. She loves to sing, study God’s Word, go on walks, and spend time with her mom friends. She is so excited to work with the Kindergarteners at Bridge! She can’t wait to educate and lead them by example with a firm foundation in Jesus!

Amanda Tudor

Ellen graduated from International Seminary with a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies and a Master of Arts in Theology. She has served in many positions over her years in ministry ranging from music to Christian education for adults and children. Teaching the Word of God is Ellen's passion and God has opened many doors for her to use her gift in the classroom, writing curriculum and speaking at women's conferences. Ellen has also worked in early childhood education serving as an administrative assistant and bus driver for two local daycare facilities. She homeschooled both of her children who are now grown with children of their own. Ellen enjoys traveling, playing golf, and working in her garden.

Jennifer is excited to join the team of educators here at the Bridge. She has a Bachelors of Science in Art Education from VCU. She has taught in Virginia for over 10 years; at Jamestown High School and Colonial Heights High School. Jenn holds a current Va teaching license to teach art to K-12. One of her favorite traditions is never deleting photos off her phone. At this moment she has over 44,000 pictures saved on her phone. One of Jenn's favorite aspects of being a teacher is watching students' skills grow. In her 20 years span of teaching, she has had the opportunity to watch many of her students move into their desired art careers. Jenn's husband and four kids meanwhile, love using her home studio for their ping pong games, lego builds, and sometimes for making art; but mostly Lego.

Allison is a graduate of Colonial Heights High School and went on to pursue her love of art by attending John Tyler Community College and then VCU. She worked as an interior designer for many years and later became an art teacher at Richmond Christian School. During her career as a designer, she had the privilege of being on the design team for the renovation of the Richmond Capitol. Feeling led in a different direction, Allison became involved in the homeschool community where all three of her children, Jordan, Jonathan, and Landon graduated. She has been teaching elementary and middle school art at a local homeschool co-op for many years. Approximately eight years ago, Allison began working part time with those battling addictions. It was through the merging of her love of teaching and her desire to help others that led her down another path. She began working at a substance abuse recovery facility in expressive art therapy helping those in recovery express through art what they cannot express in words. This led her back to school where she obtained her BS in both Art and Addiction studies at Liberty University graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2019. She graduated from Liberty University with honors with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Emily is a graduate of Liberty University where she received her undergraduate degree in History. The best word to describe Emily is kind. Her heart is one of service and thoughtfulness and it shows in all she does. Austin, the man writing this bio about Emily, is also her best friend, man of her dreams and dashing husband since 2016. Her passions in life are reading, baking, her puppy, and her son. She has decided to apply her degree to pursuing her desire to serve the homeschool community. As a former homeschool student herself, Emily is passionate about home education and knows what it takes to be successful on this unique journey. She believes that education is a powerful tool and wants to help students cultivate a love for learning. She is excited to serve the families of Bridge Academy!

Ashley began teaching at Bridge Academy in 2016. She was raised in Chesterfield County and received a history degree from VCU. She and her husband David feel blessed to have homeschooled their three boys, Nathan, who now attends Liberty University, Justis, graduating high school in 2026, and Joshua, currently in middle school at Bridge Academy. Her teaching experience began at ICCS Preschool during college and she has continued teaching at home and in homeschool/classroom settings since then. In addition to teaching, she worked as a personal trainer and fitness instructor for eleven years at a local gym. She and her boys love Bridge Academy and look forward to being part of this co-op for years to come!

Brenda was born and raised in Anderson, IN. She graduated from Asbury University with a B.A. in Christian Ministries with a Missions emphasis. Brenda met and married her husband, Tim, while

studying at Asbury University. They spent twenty-five years serving and traveling throughout the United States and Europe with the United States Army. Over the years she has had the joy of teaching in several different Christian schools across the country. She left the private school classroom when God blessed them with five wonderful children. In her spare time, Brenda enjoys exercising, reading, cooking, doing yard work and spending time with friends. Brenda is excited to join the Bridge Academy staff as a teacher and honored to have the opportunity to instruct your children.

Becky began teaching at Bridge Academy in 2017.  She graduated from VCU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice. She worked with the Chesterfield County Police as an Evidence Technician. She was among the first civilians hired for crime scene investigations for the department.  Becky is currently the Student Ministries Director at Thrive Church.  She also oversees the Young Adult Ministry, Celebrate Recovery Ministry and Missions. Becky has lived in the area her entire life. She has two boys who graduated from Bridge Academy. Becky and her family have a heart for missions both locally and internationally. They have been traveling to Nicaragua for the past 13 years, where they have made lifelong friendships.
