Art Explorers (3rd-5th)

Art Explorers gives upper elementary students the opportunity to take a deeper dive into art making, grow their creative thinking skills and broaden their art making experiences while learning about art history. Each week we will focus on an art element and medium or technique that is inspired by an artwork or diverse array of artists from around the world. Students will use a variety of media including watercolor, collage, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture and clay. Through art making, students will make cross curricular connections with science, history, math, and language arts. Students can expect to create artworks that take more than one class period to complete and to work on at least one group project during the school year to build leadership and collaboration. All supplies and clay firing fees included.
