Novel Studies (4th-5th)
Throughout the year, students will read a variety of novels and participate in engaging class discussions to explore the stories more deeply. In addition to discussions, students will enjoy fun activities that bring the reading to life, learn new vocabulary, make connections to real-life situations, and strengthen their critical thinking skills. Each week, students will be expected to complete assigned reading and answer comprehension questions from a book study packet. This weekly homework will help them prepare for class discussions and fully engage with the stories.
