Math 3

Get ready to build strong math skills with BJU Math 3! This class will provide direct instruction to introduce new concepts such as multiplication, division, fractions, measurement, and problem-solving strategies. Students will engage in fun, interactive activities that reinforce learning through spiral review, helping them retain and apply previously learned material. Through hands-on games, group challenges, and real-world problem-solving, students will develop a deeper understanding of math concepts while building confidence and fluency. This dynamic class is designed to partner with home practice to make math meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable for every learner!

Required Text:
BJU Math 3 Student Worktext (4th Edition)

Copy fee: $20.00 (paid to coordinating instructor, Nicole Copenhaver or Emerald Soldan, at Orientation or at the first class attended)

Annual tuition: $470.00 ($47/month for 10 months, August-May, or $54/month if prorated)

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Nicole Copenhaver, Emerald Soldan

Nicole Copenhaver
B.A. in Elementary Education

Nicole holds a BA degree in Elementary Education from St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, NY. She is certified in Special Education General Curriculum K-12 and Elementary Education PreK-6. After beginning her teaching career in New York, Nicole moved to Virginia to continue pursuing her passion for education. With over a decade of experience teaching in public schools, she is now excited to transition to homeschool education to better support her own children and connect with a Christ-centered community. Nicole is passionate about nurturing the whole child, building strong relationships, and fostering a love of learning through exploration and engagement. As a mother of six children, ranging in age from 5 to 16, she is dedicated to helping all students find success and fulfillment in their educational journey. Nicole is thrilled to join Bridge Academy, where she can align her faith and values with her teaching approach, creating an inspiring classroom environment that encourages curiosity and growth.

Emerald Soldan
B.A. English
M.A. Teaching

Emerald grew up in a small town on the peninsula of Virginia. She attended a Christian school k-12th grade and went on to Christopher Newport University to earn her degrees in English and in Teaching. Her marriage to her husband Chris brought her to Richmond. She is a mom of two who both attend Bridge Academy. She has always had a love of helping others learn and always knew she would be an educator in some capacity. Before becoming a mom, Emerald taught Kindergarten and Second grade at Banner Christian. She has been a homeschool mom for 5 years and thoroughly enjoys the homeschool life.
